The world of origami infects the design. Many designers who let themselves be inspired by the ancient Japanese art of paper folding to create furniture and furnishings increasingly creative and innovative. Reasoning on paper folding technique allows you to experiment with new forms and new uses for common objects, often with shapes remained unchanged over time.

From product design to fashion the style inspired by origami fascinates and conquers its geometry, the clean lines and also the complexity of the design. 10. Origami ceramics

How can you achieve the origami-inspired shapes with porcelain? Technically with plaster molds, but apparently the Japanese designer Hitomi Igarashi found a way to achieve the same result with the paper, a material cheaper and readily available. Once in the oven it burns and it disappears leaving only fired ceramic that, meanwhile, It is adapted to the folds and textures paper mold, returning a solid object to the touch but delicate at the sight.
