Some time ago I posted an article on tilt shift photography, with a mini collection of 10 photographs using this very dramatic effect that makes it seem the subject as a scale model. The article today shows you 5 Tilt shift video tutorial to recreate this spectacular effect.
In popular film “The social network” the Director David Fincher, as well as giving a controversial image of Mr. Facebook, using the tilt shift effect to the scene of the Henley Royal Regatta (If you missed it, the video is under). In that case, the choice to use a tilt shift effect was dictated by the need to hide the real location.
So if we do not try, us mere mortals, we miss a lot of fun. If you don't have the appropriate lenses you can always use photo editing programs more common to get the same effect. Keep in mind that the best pictures with miniature effect are generally taken by high to resume more possible details, (buildings, people, cars and roads) and that the brilliance pictures is the key to success. I've tried using the only picture I found taken by high made this summer in Tuscany ’, strange but true I haven't many.
For those wishing to learn a mini collection of Tilt shift video tutorial to recreate this effect in post production with some of the most popular programs: Photoshop, After Effects, Elements, GIMP.
