Are you back from summer vacation? Are you happy with the break? Me yesss! I came (yesterday) from a ride in two cities: Paris and Budapest. The old article on clichè I had already forced to talk about Paris. With the excuse of the holidays and many positive comments (…and not) that have preceded here I am again to speak directly… Paris.

Who could imagine?

What makes me even more comic is the fact that I stayed for a few days in a strange apartment very Parisian in a district from true Bohemian penniless. I am a living cliché!

This is what it seems: romantic and inspiring, in practice the area is messy and, as the whole of Paris, expensive so nothing to do with the penniless young artist with revolutionary ideas that tries to find good luck in the big city.
However once you get around the city you must try to enjoy the best that it can offer. Anyone (and I repeat anyone) on the net, as in flesh and bones, has a different opinion on Paris, generally very positive and will suggest to visit millions of things (all wonderful) and tell you what is beautiful and romantic city is the most famous of the world… in reality everyone will forget to tell you that:
  1. Paris is dirty. And stink to do disgusting.
  2. About the 80 % of the Parisians who you will meet for one reason or other will treat you bad, with air of barely concealed contempt and will do anything not to be understood.
Want you to make laugh about it? On Wikiquote some of the phrases that best sum up the irony that one must possess to visit Paris:
“The French would be the happiest people on Earth if the vanity is not upset their happiness.” (Emil Cioran)
Anyway the positives are wasted.
What to do to survive the trip and take the right dose of romance you expect? My boyfriend and I have done so:

Cupcake

Try a cupcake for the first time is a small injection of sweet bliss-size fruit.
I used to mail the recipe found on the web for some, but I had not yet had the pleasure to taste one and then what better place than the romantic city par excellence?
Even if the French are very proud of their macarons, the cupcake that found by Miss Cupcake are accompanied by a very kawaii space and, here and there, some books even recipe of Martha Steward.
Try Tea from Smoked darjeeng and a mint tea while eating apricot or chocolate cakes by Miss Cupcake. You can find here.

Le Sacre pic nic

If you're in the mood for romance armed with deck, red wine and stemware, some french cheese (strictly smelly) and bread.
Armed with goodwill and go to Montmartre garden, climb the main staircase to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur at 20.00 or down to there, choose a convenient place between couples and groups of young people and enjoy the panorama breathtaking. Maybe you'll heard the declaration with diamond.
The basilica of the perpetual prayer that dominates almost all of Paris, to do to compete with the Eiffel Tower. The difference? You do not pay to see the view and no long tail.
But (there is always a "but" lurking) warning at the top of the stairway to the ubiquitous Rom who haunt with ridiculous signatures for non-existent charities.
Attention at the bottom of the staircase towards the Metro Anvers if you accidentally hands with one of the guys who is cordon off by Gates, you'll be full of shit that then you have to pay.

Gordon docet

Who does not like sudden outbursts of anger Gordon Ramsey? I do.
His usual string of insults amuse me like crazy. I remember with precision, a few months ago, having seen the episode of his reality (Nightmare kitchen) set in Paris, Needless to say walking through the narrow streets of Marais in a Middle Eastern flavour, because felafel in down the street, we happen in front of the vegetarian restaurant who has blasted the nerves of the Ramsey.
I wish I could say that we had lunch, but nothing. Just as the mega chef complained the place is in a characteristic area, but the owner could not lead their own affairs. Closed. We have missed an international star!

iPhone case

You love Apple (but also no…) and you have a desperate need for your phone or iPad sheathed in a case of exception? Perfect!

In the same small and very Parisian way restaurant's bankruptcy here fetch a small but well stocked shop that sells covers for all tastes, from the japan kawaii (sooooooo cute) to the genus business man for all seasons. Rue Des Ecouffes, the number is irrelevant since the road is tiny.

Films du jour

Find a version in your language “The fabulous world of Amelie Poulan”, (On you tube found the film to pieces) one evening, prepare a cold dinner which can be enjoyed in the late hour and stay at home in your little bohemien hole while watching the movie that did love mademoiselle Poulan worldwide.

Reason? Try to find all areas, views and sweet holes characteristics that appear in the film and that you have visited or where you went for the event. You'll find that most is in the Montmartre district.

In this case are given little scream of wonder with full mouth.

Chestnut St. James

The Parisians live through city parks.

Spend a lot of time out and when not to drink or eat in some brasserie, they are at the park to doze or listen to music in ultra fashion headphones . You can, too, but in the city center near the’Hotel de Ville (the Town Hall) where you find Tower San Giacomo, white and loner among high-rises greyish, in a small garden well cared for and well guarded.

Take advantage of solitary public water fountain, in this period, dodging the first chestnut falling soundly to the ground. Then collect them and enjoy the beautiful shades of brown.

Do it yourself

Are you crazy diyers? Have you a mystical crisis because full creative Epiphany do not have the material under the nose?

A Montmartre garden between the Mc Donalds and the Cultural Centre the streets teem with haberdashery, shops for upholsterers, remnants and fabrics. You will lost between the hundreds of exhibitors of laces or ribbons of all sizes and colors. I went to the Haberdashery Saint Pierre in Rue Charles Nodier. Auguri.

I don't know what category to put this article. Maybe Art is usually more appropriate because you really need art to survive the hundreds of things to do in Paris.
