Now the move is done! They survived as all and I enjoy the joys of frenzy by unpacking. I am happy as an Easter. This article is old, I realize… I visited the Salone del Mobile Edition 2011 in the one day I had available, i.e. the 12, because already the 14 morning early I moved weapons and baggage in my new home.
Is little but is better than nothing and as seemed ugly wasting a good opportunity I will propose as well as I had written the gnawa night 12… with a little delay. Sorry!
The move kills me. Or rather the ’ moving anxiety because to tell you the truth, but to put its entire, still haven't managed to move just a few days and things to organize and increase my patience wanes. In full frenzy d ’ indoor décor understood right in the middle of all ’ most awaited event throughout Milan from designer young or less, exhibitors, artists or suspected such, sponsors and partners, journalists and bloggers around the world, account and investigators boho chic.
Unfortunately my days available for the fair amounted to zero, that is only the opening night in which give me the crazy joy and enjoy events that thank God are many and all conceivable tastes. Since first year of college my favorite has always been the fuorisalone and in particular Zona Tortona.
Who is in Milan know that the neighborhood lives a new life during the Salone del Mobile and that events over the years have sprung up like mushrooms helping to revive the fortunes of an area that normally thrives on offices, with its timetable, and former industrial buildings for new mecca of design. This year ’ the choice was almost mandatory in view of the short time available and the curiosity to see new projects and then armed with iPhone (because the camera has abandoned me to first picture…) I'm going to Superstudio più.
01MATHERY
In the middle of the way I run at an angle, While my companion discusses on the phone, in 01Mathery. I learn from their site that are two Italian designers who engage in an undertaking which is not new but certainly of great interest: One idea per day. In a world of big names in design at a time conducive to those who have money to invest (usually the big brands) It can be a terrible curse. A ’ idea out from the Pack is the best solution if you want to be known and communication costs are almost zero if you exploit the big event with a hint of mischief and irony. This is the case of these two designers who style eco-chic they built a small house for small birds (that unfortunately increasingly missing in Milan… but replaced by condor efficentissimi) with the cardboard and have covered the roof with their business cards RIP. 01mathery.tumblr.com
Organized by Superstudio Group, garantito che ve la godrete, the TEMPORARY MUSEUM FOR NEW DESIGN, where you can chat and admire and try some of the products of international design and some emerging with name 34 brand exposed. Many events unfortunately closed to the public on the first day of exposure because reserved to guests but in the coming days for sure it will be possible to do a tour and gather material.
Kaneka – A BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE DRINKING PLACE DECORATED WITH OLED PANELS!
Come amanti del Japan We couldn't miss this space dedicated to reinterpreting space entertainment that is a true feast for the eyes. Simple and direct intention we enter into a space-nonspazio where the light high-impact technology the mistress. How to lie under a tree flowers Cherry from the ceiling appear thousands of lights OLED warm and relaxing colours (Red and white: colors of the flag and tradition) that simulate the swaying fronds of ’ the wind. Wonderful then if there is offered sake from a smiling Miss Japan. The Design concept is the study TORAFU ARCHITECTS Inc.. and the lighting design so well studied by Izumi Okayasu.
PUNKALIVE
All ’ stand out under the flying Car Mini is required, You can't raise your head and let out a strangled comment on hazard of scenic ’ installation. To put your mind at ease we think Karim Rashid with his collection created just for the Finnish company ’ Punkalive amanta nature and respectful of tradition productive vera. Some abandoned herself under the four spring drops that threatened the event, shame not to have it tested personally considered that the whole ’ project realized in multilayer wood with coloured inserts very pop was almost weathered and therefore inaccessible. www.punkalive.fi
The House of dreams – THE DREAM HOUSE OF ALCANTARA
Impossible not to get a ride here. To begin with good design tour 2011 You can make a nice experience sensory walking among the thousand color thin wires Green Lawn strategically placed at the entrance booth ’. What is normally expected to access internal sidestepping some stray wire… instead surprise! The ’ entry doesn't end over and already walking there realizes that he lost in a maze of soft Alcantara Green. The reactions of the audience are enthusiastic and chiasose. Space management has been entrusted to Paola Navone and Giulio Cappellini, the name of the already very limited means to interpret the dream home through stimulation of the senses all entrusted to ’ aesthetics and functionality of the Italian brand. Foscarini – METAMORFOSIS
Are now months that piagnucolo desperate looking for Chandelier for your home. None of those purchased satisfies me… Because I hadn't looked at Foscarini and its bright installations Giants high-impact scenographic. Created by Vicente Garcia Jimenez This collection is much more suitable for large commercial spaces and showrooms in industrial sheds where light and darkness complement each other. These gigantic light installations are completely master of catalyzing the ’ attention and stealing the scene. Sit under one of these lighting pieces is equivalent to be alone on a stage with thousands of eyes on him. Rock-fx.
Lammhults – AERIS
Minimal is better, at least… I am of the idea. Virtually all affine ’ architecture and Scandinavian design I always the purity and perfection of the simple lines of a project. In my humble opinion a good design can be described as such when the lines are decorative and at the same time. When two functions in a single gesture, not so much for the simplicity and directness but instead ’ for complexity to combine two elements while maintaining a form that defines the character of an object in a few gestures. This is the case for Lammhults, and in particular the Chair Aeris, who won my heart, with its beauty and functionality. On the site I discover that the designers, Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, I am particularly drawn to the simple square lines and are true cornerstones for the Swedish company ’ since it collaborate since 80. Moreover, it was fun in the midst of the gran casino and find it convenient as few chairs in the world! My absolute favorite is the one with the wooden frame, perfect for both internal and external… Unfortunately it is not yet in production but I can assure you that it's worth it just available in the market. www.lammhults.se
Ronda Design – MAGNETIKA
A suitable solution for those who want to decorate your home, but is unsure about where to take the library. Ideal for the chronically indecisive, like me, they are packed with books, comics, dvd and various cazzabubole that are tremendously loyal. The solution is a mythical and magnetized sottilie wall on which it is possible to, and literally, drawing space using square brackets that are attracted by magnetic force capable of supporting the weight of the books or whatever you want you. Bella the idea of being able to ’ Customize vertical space and eventually unmount all at any time and the chance to play with and finishes textures of every kind. www.rondadesign.it
Molo Design
An old acquaintance dear lovers that furnishes, We had already spoken of the Italian company ’ here, but I have no potutto to resist the temptation to try the resistance of virtually infinite seat. It works… just be careful and don't be too maneschi, but I can assure you that holds!
At the end of the evening at midnight, with even the second served on the table there ’ is best thing you forget all catalogs and related scholarship (beautiful and comfortable) back of the restaurant where, Despite the more black weather, We were treated well and we ate better yet between the Spanish and English. I do not see l ’ now do it again.
I was there at Fuorisalone but what I liked the most was Zona Tortona. Today, in my opinion Tortona has become an alternative for many famous designers and craftspeople. Along with important names there was a lamp by Jason Milller for Roll & Hill that caught my eye. I also keep in mind a recent brand called Boca do Lobo! So for all curious people around the world or for those who couldn’t be in Milan last week: http://www.behance.net/bocadolobostudio
